At Agotzaina / Bekoetxe, we are proud to celebrate a major milestone in our sustainability journey: the successful completion of our eggshell recycling and valorization project.

What began as an ambitious R&D&I initiative has now become a fully operational reality within our facilities. Through the implementation of state-of-the-art thermal treatment technology, we have achieved:

Eggshells are transformed into high-purity calcium carbonate (CaCO₃) suitable for use in animal nutrition.

Guaranteed Safety

A validated process that eliminates biological risks, including Salmonella, ensuring a 100% safe and reliable ingredient.

Real Circular Economy

We have successfully closed the loop by reintroducing by-products into the value chain, eliminating their impact as waste and creating new value from existing resources.

Setting a New Industry Standard

Supported by the Navarre Waste Fund, this project demonstrates that profitability and environmental responsibility are not only compatible but essential for the future of the food industry.
